A Sneak Peek! Introducing Maddalee's Friend Jessa!

This is too fun for me to wait until Monday! (Maddalee Monday here at Maddalee) We are introducing Jessa, Maddalee's best friend! The first in a series Jessa download will be available on Monday, I hope to share with all of my friends here at Maddalee then.

Maddie's Buddies™ Second Edition... "Critters" Toy Printable!

Here is the second edition of "Maddie"s Buddies" printable friends for your little one's to play with. I think these would be very fun to have in the activity bag for church, appointments, in the car, as well as fun at home. And if they get lost or messed up? Just print new ones! Fun whether your kids are old enough to cut and paste themselves, or if a big person helped them. A comment from a new friend here at Maddalee asked for the Maddalee paper doll download to use as fridge magnets, well how fun would these Maddie's buddies projects be with magnet strips on the back and on the fridge? With the pocket envelope stuck right there also to store them in! Let me know if you have other ideas, all of these new projects have been a lot of fun for me. I recommend printing on bright white card stock for the best results.

Low Calorie Pumpkin Frappé Recipe

I saw this pumpkin frappé recipe and thought I had to try it! I love pumpkin pie and cruising Pinterest while craving something sweet to eat can be dangerous! This yummy frappé isn't bad, though. Super easy to make and fulfilled my craving for dessert without ruining my calories for the day! I used a shot of espresso and crushed ice rather than partially frozen coffee, and it worked great...enjoy.

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups coffee, frozen, partially thawed
2 Tbsp. pumpkin, canned
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. pumpkin spice, ground
1 tsp. stevia
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut milk
2 tbsp. whip cream, fat free
1 dash cinnamon, ground

Directions
In a blender add coffee, pumpkin, vanilla, pumpkin spice, stevia and coconut milk. Blend until smooth. Pour into a mug and top with whip cream and sprinkle of cinnamon.

Calories: 45.6, Fat: 2.6, Cholesterol: 0, Sodium: 8,9, Potassium: 35.6, Carbs: 3.9, Fiber: 1.2, Sugar: 2.2, Protein: 1.1

Falling Leaves and an 8" x 10" Ginko Print

I am updating today to add this quick photo I was finally able to get to, as I didn't yesterday. The free 8 x 10 prints I give away here at maddalee are small, but in the right area, I think they can be lovely! I really like this part of my home, a cozy and bright great room right next to the dining room, kitchen and glass doors to the backyard. We spend all of our time here! Well, I wish I spent more time here, I seem to be in my studio/office upstairs too much. I love it up there in the bright loft and can look out at the top of our changing maple trees and down on this area in the photo. Here is the other cosmo print photo that I posted earlier, also...same frames, same small "print at home" prints. I love the pop of color! Maybe you also have a place that needs a small pop of color. I do have all of these prints available in larger sizes, email me if you are interested.

I do love the color that fall brings to our lives. The crisp and cool mornings are very pretty, although I have to admit I miss the warmer weather already, even with the cold days of winter still a little way off. It's just the switching gears thing and my body getting ready for a new season. I must say I have rarely worn socks all summer, and now when I wake up, before I go down for coffee and to start my day, I am pulling socks on with my jammies as I think the thought of them just make me feel warmer, even if they are about the smallest items of clothing that I own! My home is primarily soft blues, teals, creams, "grayish putty" and linen whites. This ginko print hangs in my great room in a black frame with a white mat. I should go down and take a photo to add here, maybe I will get a chance to do that in a bit. Do you ever consider other colors for your fall decor? I just love some of the painted pumpkins that I have been seeing on fun blogs and Pinterest, pastels, grays, whites and silver for Halloween. These would be perfect for my home, so many people think out of the box this way better than I do. Thank Heavens for Pinterest! It gets me to think a little differently about so many things. What are some of your favorites for this time of year?

Introducing Maddalee and Her First Edition of Fun!

Oh my, this makes me want to have a granddaughter. I love my grandson, and as he is only 7 months old, I may be waiting awhile to see if I do maybe have a granddaughter in my future!

Maddie's Buddies™ "Bug House" Toy Printable!

Now this is fun! A printable "bug house" and bugs to print out and put together with your favorite little people! I have written before about how my kids really had more fun playing with things we had, found, made or stumbled upon that really cost next to nothing than the larger things that we paid quite a bit for. Now, the play gym and sandbox that their dad and grandpa built was always a hit for my children and all their friends. That was also imaginative play. Rest assured, we had Little Tykes, riding toys, Barbies, American Girl and all of it, and still have a lot of it waiting for grandchildren to use, but the little things were most enjoyed. We do have my daughter's little wooden kitchen and all it's wares saved in storage. The stove actually belonged to Julie's aunt growing up and we rescued it out of the barn, cleaned it up, repainted and added a "sink/hutch" built by Julie's dad and painted by me to match the stove. They are adorable and as I said, in storage here at Grammie's house. But here is a favorite of my kids when they were little, a bug house! This one isn't real, of course, but a "virtual" bit of fun to print out, cut out and put together for some fun and crafty playtime. I hope you enjoy!
